Indapp Extension Office

The National Industries Research and Development Council (NIRDC) has envisioned the establishment of Thaluk-Level Extension Offices across India to serve as decentralized outreach and facilitation units. These offices are designed to bridge the gap between government schemes, industrial development programs, and local communities — ensuring that opportunities, resources, and knowledge effectively reach the grassroots level. Operating as the local arms of NIRDC, each Extension Office will play a pivotal role in promoting digital entrepreneurship, facilitating access to MSME, Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food Processing schemes, enabling financial assistance through authorized DSAs, and organizing training, awareness, and capacity-building programs. Through these initiatives, NIRDC aims to create a seamless connection between innovation, policy, and people.

Vision & Purpose

NIRDC’s Thaluk-Level Extension Offices aim to decentralize development by connecting government programs, industrial initiatives, and local communities. These offices empower entrepreneurs, farmers, and youth with guidance, opportunities, and resources, driving inclusive and self-reliant economic growth across rural and semi-urban India.

Digital Entrepreneurship (InDApp)

Through the InDApp platform, Extension Offices promote digital entrepreneurship by helping local businesses register online, showcase products, and connect with buyers. Entrepreneurs receive guidance in branding, e-commerce, and digital tools, creating a strong digital ecosystem that enhances rural participation in India’s trade network.

Scheme Facilitation

Each Extension Office functions as a single-window center for MSME, Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food Processing schemes. Officers assist beneficiaries in understanding eligibility, preparing documentation, and submitting applications, ensuring that every eligible entrepreneur and farmer benefits directly from government programs and incentives.

Financial & Loan Support

To strengthen financial inclusion, NIRDC collaborates with authorized DSAs and banks to help entrepreneurs access loans and subsidies. Extension Offices assist in business plan preparation, financial documentation, and connecting beneficiaries with government credit programs such as PMEGP and Mudra.

Training & Capacity Building

Regular workshops and awareness programs organized by the Extension Offices focus on entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and sustainable practices. These sessions equip youth and women with practical knowledge and skills, fostering innovation, self-employment, and long-term community development across various sectors.

Extension Officers Network

Each Thaluk-Level Office is managed by trained NIRDC Extension Officers who coordinate programs, monitor progress, and ensure transparent service delivery. They act as the vital link between government initiatives and local communities, ensuring last-mile connectivity and effective implementation.
